The Brief
Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre is a major public recreation facility in central Christchurch, delivered as part of the city's post-earthquake rebuild and civil investment programme. The facility serves the wider Christchurch community across a range of sporting and recreational uses, including the interior sprint track. The line marking scope was delivered for Hills Commercial Floors, requiring Finesse to work within a precisely coordinated programme on a specialist athletic surface.
The work
The line marking to the interior sprint track covered to 400 linear metres. This was an application that sits well outside standard painting work. Getting every line right first time, on a competition-grade surface required both the right product knowledge and careful coordination with other trades on site. There is no margin for error and the work was delivered to the standard the facility required.
