Case study / Commercial / Heritage

Queenstown War Memorial.

Queenstown War Memorial is a heritage structure in the centre of Queenstown. The scope was precise: all white concrete and plaster surfaces were repainted in Resene Thorndon Cream, covering the wingwall cappings and end bollards, white plaster trims, the main archway, and the bowl above. The steel gates were finished in black. The gold elements were left untouched.

Working on a war memorial calls for a level of care that goes beyond technical precision. It is one of those projects where the quality of the finish matters not just to the client, but to the community the structure belongs to.
