The brief
St Mary's School was a refurbishment project in Blenheim, delivered for Scott Construction. Schools are spaces that carry a particular kind of responsibility. The finished environment is where children spend their days learning, and the quality of that environment matters.
The work
The interior scope covered stopping new gib walls and ceilings to Level 4, painting across walls, ceilings, doors, architraves, and trims throughout. A clean, neutral palette was used across the interior, keeping the spaces light and practical for everyday school use. The exterior covered Linea weatherboard cladding, Stria vertical feature boards across three colours and plywood cubbies were finished in a natural wood oil. Getting the order of work right across both interior and exterior is what keeps the job moving and quality consistent.
