Commercial / Industrial, protective coatings and infrastructure

Industrial, protective coatings, and infrastructure.

Industrial coatings are written down before they are applied. A protective system on a steel structure is a specification: substrate preparation grade, surface profile, primer, intermediate, topcoat, dry film thickness per coat, total system thickness, environmental limits during application, and a manufacturer warranty that depends on every line above being met.

The same discipline applies to infrastructure and civic assets: bridges, carparks, plant and process buildings, and the steel and concrete that has to stay in service for decades. We work to the specification, log every reading, and hand over the documentation the asset owner needs to enforce the warranty.

Sector

What we do in industrial and infrastructure

Protective coatings on structural steel.

Carparks, bridges, infrastructure, civic steelwork, plant and process buildings. Specified systems applied under controlled conditions, with DFT readings logged and weather windows respected.

Industrial and infrastructure substrate repaints.

Existing steel, concrete tilt-slab, blockwork, and process equipment. Surface assessment, substrate preparation, and system selection appropriate to the exposure (atmospheric, immersion, chemical, abrasion).

Specified system applicator.

We work as the certified applicator for protective systems that require it. Where a manufacturer warranty depends on an approved applicator network, our team carries the required certification and the documentation that proves it.

Maintenance coatings.

Programmed maintenance repaints for asset owners running fleets of steel structures and infrastructure across multiple sites. Inspection, condition reporting, prioritisation, and a programmed repaint cycle.

Sector

How we work in industrial and infrastructure

Substrate preparation to the spec.

Abrasive blast cleaning or mechanical preparation to the surface preparation standard the system requires. Surface profile measured and recorded. Soluble salt testing where the system or environment demands it.

Application within environmental limits.

Each coating system specifies a window: substrate temperature, ambient temperature, relative humidity, dew point margin. We measure before we apply and we stop when the readings fall outside the window. Weather, substrate temperature, and dew points logged for every shift.

DFT readings, logged.

Wet film thickness during application, dry film thickness after cure, per coat, per area. Readings logged to a shared site report with the QS and the asset owner.

Manufacturer-backed warranty.

A protective coating system warranty is only as good as the records behind it. We hand over the full site pack: substrate preparation records, DFT logs, weather logs, materials batch numbers, application records, and the manufacturer's warranty certificate against the documented work.

Certified applicator status.

Where a system requires an approved applicator, the certification is current and the documentation is on file. We do not propose systems we are not certified to apply.

Carpark Steel, hospital

Protective coating works on the carpark steel structure at a public hospital. Specified system applied to manufacturer's stated dry film thickness, with documentation to support the asset owner's warranty enforcement.
